Last spring, I received the most inspiring email in my Inbox from a lovely, mature young lady named Anneke. She shared her desire to help with Project Elise, a dance project for young dancers with cancer. In ballet since kindergarten, Anneke is trained in mostly Russian Vaganova style dance. She has studied in Kirov in Washington DC, Bossov in Maine, English National Ballet in Toledo and out of the country at the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam. She is currently attending the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet in NYC and hopes to pursue a career in a ballet company and possibly teach ballet.
Although Anneke and I have worked together on the dance project (yet to be released) this photo session, however, was just for Anneke. I was simply honored when she asked me to do her 2015 Senior pictures! We spent part of our session in downtown Stillwater, MN but concentrated our time at the William O'Brien State Park. And as always, we had a great time together!
Anneke is a beautiful dancer who radiates warmth and beauty from deep within. I truly admire her and can only imagine how proud her family must be of her, and her strong values and exceptional character. I pray all the very best for your future, Anneke, wherever it is He leads you. You are one beautiful and talented girl. I can't wait to attend your performance later this month! Enjoy your blog post.... xo!
